Sachin Tendulkar has Appointed as Brand Ambassador for Cricket World Cup 2023!

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced Indian legend and Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar as the global ambassador for the 2023 Men’s Cricket World Cup. 2 days left for ODI Cricket World Cup to start. 

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has played in 6 World Cups in his career. Sachin Tendulkar arrives with the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup trophy ahead of the start of the match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Sachin Tendulkar has said about this: So far I have played in 6 World Cups. Winning the World Cup in 2011 was the proudest moment of my cricket career. “I am excitedly looking forward to the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in India as many special teams and players are competing hard for it.

“Unforgettable events like the World Cup instill dreams in the hearts of young players. I hope this edition too will inspire young girls and boys to choose the sport and represent their countries at the highest level”.

ICC ambassadors for the biggest cricket World Cup ever – West Indies legend Vivian Richards, South Africa’s AB de Villiers, England World Cup winning captain Eoin Morgan, Australia’s Aaron Finch, Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan, New Zealand’s Ross Taylor, India’s Suresh Raina and former captain Mithali Raj and Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez will also feature.

Cricket legends will lend their support and elevate the audience experience by putting fans at the heart of the action. They will participate in selected competitions across the country.

ICC General Manager, Marketing and Communications Officer, Claire Furlong said: “We know it will be an honor to have Sachin as our global ambassador as we celebrate the one-day tournament and the biggest men’s cricket World Cup ever. Always. He has been joined by nine fellow legends of the game.

The 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup will be held in India from November 5 to November 19. England and New Zealand will clash in the first match starting on October 5. The match starts at 2 PM at the Ahmedabad stadium.
